De tweede Holiday Club die we hielden met St. Paul's Church in Great Barr (Birmingham) heeft zelfs het nieuws gehaald:
SUMMER FUN: A church in Great Barr has helped to cure summer holiday boredom for primary school pupils. St Paul's Church has welcomed local children to their Lionheart and the Quest for the lost Treasure-themed holiday club which started on Tuesday and ran till today.
The week which took place at the community centre, was filled with events and activities. Children had the chance to take part in crafts, parachute games, puppet shows, song learning, paining, sports and much more. Reverend Smitha Prasadam said: "The week has gone very well, considering the stiff competition from the Olympics, and the children have enjoyed participating in events and activities at the centre. We had children who only intended to attend one of the sessions who ended up arriving each day to take part in more fun and games. I'm really grateful for all the help we have received from volunteers not just from the church, but the community and outside - it really made the start of the summer really interesting and fun."
